Overview

Wryft Skateboards is a brand that embraces creativity, individuality, and the thrill of skate culture. The name "Wryft" is a play on the word "rift," which conveys a sense of breaking boundaries and exploring new territories. Wryft stands for pushing limits and venturing into the unknown. the spirit of adventure, creativity, and rebellion, inspired by the fluid and dynamic nature of waves.

My Role - As a designer, I was responsible for developing the brand’s visual identity, designing a functional website prototype in Figma, and creating digital advertisements to promote the brand across various platforms.

Goals

The primary goal of this project was to craft a bold and authentic brand identity that resonates with skateboarders and street culture enthusiasts. The branding needed to capture the raw energy, rebellious spirit, and creativity of skateboarding while maintaining a professional and modern aesthetic. Another key objective was to design an intuitive and visually engaging website prototype in Figma that showcases Wryft’s products, and community culture. Additionally, creating striking digital advertisements was essential showcasing Brand's Apparal.

Challenges

One of the main challenges was capturing the essence of skateboarding culture in a way that felt authentic and visually compelling.functionality. Designing a motif and logo that authentically represent skate culture was a challenge, as it needed to reflect individuality and rebellion without feeling forced. The design had to be bold yet versatile, ensuring it worked seamlessly across boards, apparel, and digital platforms while maintaining a cohesive brand identity.
